MICHAEL PLÖTZ · MUSIC

SOUND AS ARTISTIC PRACTICE
New paths
into sound.
The music emerged through the interplay of instruments, recording equipment and computers. Michael Plötz worked with numerous analogue synthesizers, effects units and multitrack recorders. Amiga and Atari computers, later PCs, Cubase and other software extended these possibilities.
New equipment and tools became part of a practice that remained open to different techniques. These recordings offer an entry into the sonic dimension of his work. Individual creation dates have not been recorded for every piece, so the order of the collections does not represent a chronology.
